The President of the City Municipality of Pantelej, Bratimir Vasiljevic, welcomed the participants of the World Paragliding Cup which was officially opened in Nis during the weekend. On behalf of the Municipality on the territory of which this world famous aeronautics spectacle is organized, the President expressed his gratitude to the Aeronautics Association of Serbia who gathered 130 paragliding pilots from 30 countries all over the world from Japan, Australia, USA, Russia to European countries, for their trust. At the same time, he wished good weather and even better wind for their flight from The Visegrad Rock in Pantelej to the five locations on the world map of paragliding airfields to all the contestants who flew over the Nis sky during the seven days of the contest. The contests started on Sunday, June 18th, 2017, at the airfiled above the Village of Oreovac on the territory of the City Municipality of Pantelej.
