The City Municipality of Pantelej and the Department for agriculture and rural development of the City of Nis, in co-operation with the Association of citizens for improvement of life in rural areas from Donji Matejevac, the Association of fruit growers and wine producers "Cegar" and other local organizations of civil society, fourth time in a row, organize the traditional manifestation "Matejevac Grape Harvest ", on Saturday, September 24th, 2016, with the beginning at 16 p.m. at the location of Co-operative Home in the center of the Village of Donji Matejevac.

Being that this City Municipality, according to all relevant parameters, belongs to marginalized and underdeveloped areas, the management of the City Municipality of Pantelej, gave the initiative that a session of the National Assembly Sub-Board for Marginal and Underdeveloped Areas of the Repubic of Serbia, be held on the same day, on September 24th, at 12 a.m. at the Great Hall of the City Municipality of Pantelej.

The session will be dedicated to the condition and perspectives of agriculture on the territory of the City of Nis, especially the marginalised and underdeveloped areas and, apart from the management of the City Municipality of Pantelej, the representatives of other interested city municipalities and the Department of agriculture and rural development of the City of Nis will participate in its work. The Mayor of the City of Nis and the City Councelor in chare of agriculture were also invited to the Sub-board Session.
