The Members of the Assembly of the City Municipality of Pantelej adopted the changes of the Statute which is the most important legal act of the Municipality. The changes were made because of the harmonization with the Statute of the City of Nis as the founder of all city municipalities. 

The changes of the Statute brought the bigger role to the municipalities in the creation of annual work programmes of the public utility companies and the control of the realization of the planned activities on their territories, independence in elaboration of municipal budgets and the possibility to assist schools and pre-school institutions on their territories with object maintenance and provision of better conditions for education and stay of children in these institutions.
