Reward for Municipal Cross-border Project

The project "Old crafts revival in the cross-border region" which was implemented by the City Municipality of Pantelej in 2014 in partnership with the Balkans development team from Nis and Korenjak Foundation from Kyustendil, Bulgaria, was rated as one of the most successful projects within IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme in terms of achievement of programme goals, results and sustainability of the project which was provided through regular organization of International crafts fair in Nis. As a symbolic acknowledgement and reward by the Directorate for Programme management in Sophia, the project teams and most active craftsmen from both sides of the border who continued their cooperation after the end of the implementation period through exchange of experience and craftsmenship skills in workshops and fairs, were invited to a joint meeting and public display of most attractive masters of crafts and their work organized in the central square in Pernik last weekend. The participants were greeted by the officials of the Managing Authority, the Ministry in charge from Bulgaria, the Ambassador of Serbia in Bulgaria, His Excellency Mr.Vladimi Curgus and the Mayor of Pernik, Vera Cerovska.
